We are blessed to have a large team of Ministers who desire to help you and point you to Jesus!
It is my great pleasure to oversee the Student Ministry and Educational Ministries of Shiloh Church.
I am 42 years old and married to my beautiful best friend, Mary. We have been married 19 years and have 2 children. Nancy is 15 and Andrew is 11. I have been doing youth ministry for 22 years and cannot imagine doing anything else. I received my Master's Degree from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Mobile in Mobile, Al.
One thing I can say with great confidence is that Shiloh is a wonderful family in which to plant your life. With great Bible teaching, wonderful small groups, an abundance of opportunities to be involved in discipleship, missions opportunities and events for the whole family; this church literally has something for everyone!
My name is Charles Owens II. Feel free to call me "CO2." I'm honored to be the worship pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church. I have been involved with the music ministry at Shiloh since 2006, and I absolutely love it! I'm married to my wonderful wife Meghan, and we have 3 children: Marlee, Chais, and Maggie. We currently live in Hartselle and try to live our lives to the fullest for the glory of Jesus Christ.
I have a BS in CIS from St. Leo University, a Christian Apologetics Certification from Biola University, and I'm currently pursuing Worship Leadership studies at Samford University.
When I'm not working, leading worship, or recording music, I love spending time with my family, teaching martial arts, and trying new things. I look forward to meeting you at Shiloh Baptist Church very soon.
I am so humbled and thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Minister of Students for Junior High Ministries here at Shiloh Baptist Church. I have served as the “Intern Youth Pastor” for the past year and cannot wait to see what God has in store for this ministry. Junior high school is a critical time in a student’s life. This is a time where many students are striving to figure out who they are and what they will or will not stand for at school and equally important, as adults in life.
Our goal is to continuously grow and dive deeper in the word of God to reinforce a firm foundation in Christ while expounding on essential truths of the Bible to help lead and guide the leaders of the future in the direction that God has for each and every life that is a part of this ministry.
I was raised around the Somerville area. I attended Athens State University and received a degree in English Language Arts with a certificate in Secondary Education and I am currently working on a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
In August of 2014, Jessica and I took the job as the Ministers to Children at Shiloh Baptist Church. We have loved every minute since! Recently we transitioned this role where I will be responsible for the Children's Ministry and Jessica takes a support role as Children's Activity & Events Director. We pray that your child will feel at home the minute they walk into our church. We seek to provide developmentally appropriate teaching in a kid-friendly, nurturing environment.
